Wednesday Group Tunes

The group is open to all melody instruments and you can come at any time between 6.30 and 9.30 and stay for as little or as long as you like - the fee will be £8 per person.

6.30 - 7.00 - slow to suit absolute beginners

7.00 - 9.00 - revising tunes we have learned already and learning a new tune, then playing tunes of your choice round the table for the last half hour

8.30 - 9.30 - playing tunes of your choice around the table - should be ideal for returning players - if you come earlier you will be able to learn some new tunes but the pace will be a slower than the Tuesday group.

This page is primarily designed to help players who are coming along to the Wednesday music club as an aid to remembering which tunes we learned and to enable them to revise or catch up on any tunes on a week they may have missed. This is merely a guide and starting point to playing the tunes.

Each week the names of the tunes we covered the previous week will be posted and you can then go to the Tunes A-Z Index to hear an audio recording and print out the written music. If you would like it in an other format, eg tab, fingering or abc, please e mail me.

At times, the following week's tune will also be posted, so you can listen to it before coming along.
